**  Police seek missing Yonkers woman

YONKERS — A 58-year-old woman with a history of depression is missing, police said.

Ivy L. Mantell, who lived at a homeless shelter at 1 Hudson St., has not been seen by her family since June 9, Yonkers Lt. Patrick McCormack said.

She was last seen at Ferncliff Manor, a residential school for children with developmental disabilities, located at 1154 Saw Mill River Road.

Mantell's sister reported her missing on July 16.

She has been officially added to the state and national repository of missing people, McCormack said.

Mantell is described as Hispanic, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds.

She has a scar above her eyebrow and nose and does not wear glasses.

It amazes me how there are so many people missing, it's also amazing that the Sharing Community at 1 Hudson Street, Yonkers, knew that Ed Geotschel was beating Ivy Mantell and none of the worker/counselors, directors did a thing to help her but yet you look them up and their Web site tells of all these wonderful services they provide for people in need... I have visited this Sharing Community and they do absolutley nothing for these people in need yet they say this is a  non profit organization...the only thing non is the non help they claim to be providing.

Corinne....I so agree with you!!! I have been working on Ivy's case for almost a month now and I feel like the Sharing Center knows much more than they are telling the family.
