Oswego Police searching for missing woman

OSWEGO (WSYR-TV) - Oswego Police are requesting the public's help in locating 21-year-old Jessica Elmer.

Police say she does not have any major medical issues but is mentally handicapped.

She was last seen Tuesday, July 24 walking on East Utica Street in Oswego. Police believe she may be attempting to reach the Syracuse area.

Elmer is 5’6” tall, weighs 220 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing an orange "SU" sweatshirt, black pants, and black & white Adidas sneakers.

Police say Elmer may also have a purple, tie-dyed sweatshirt with her. It has "Jessica" on the front and "Pooh Bear" on the back.

Anyone who has seen Jessica or know where she might be is asked to call Oswego Police at 315-342-8120.

UPDATE: Missing woman located

Jessica Elmer, the 21-year-old Oswego woman who had been missing since Tuesday, has been located. The Oswego City Police Department was notified Sunday around 11:15 p.m. that she had been found by the Rochester Police Department.
