Ocean City Police Searching For Missing Man

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Ocean City Police need your help locating a missing man.

22-year-old Lance Corey Gaines was visiting Ocean City with his family from upstate New York. He was last seen on April 21 at approximately 1:00 AM at The Sandbar on 33rd Street and Coastal Highway.

Gaines was reported missing by his family. He has brown hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. He is approximately 6'4" and approximately 190 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Gaines or has been in contact with him is asked to call Ocean City Police at 410-723-6604.

Ocean City (WSYR-TV) – Police in Maryland say a Groton man reported missing in April was found dead in the water on Tuesday.

Ocean City Police responded to the report of a deceased person around 6:22 p.m. They identified the body of a man recovered by Coast Guard personnel as that of 22-year-old Lance Corey Gaines.

Gaines was visiting Ocean City with his family. His body was sent to Maryland’s Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Police are investigating the cause and manner of Gaines’ death.
