Elderly Woodhaven man missing

The NYPD has issued a Silver Alert for Victor Torres, 77.
The NYPD has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Woodhaven man.
Victor Torres, 77, was last seen on Tuesday, March 27 at 1:30 p.m. near 76th Street and Atlantic Avenue. He was wearing a blue hat, blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers.
Torres suffers from dementia and high blood pressure.
He is described as 5-feet-7-inches tall, 150 pounds with white hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on the missing’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.

An elderly Woodhaven man that recently went missing was found near a Maspeth highway early Friday morning.
Victor Torres, 77, was last seen on Tuesday, March 27 near 76th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Torres, who suffers from dementia, was found wandering by an EMT by the Long Island Expressway near 58th Street in Maspeth at approximately 7:15 Friday morning.
The missing was identified after the EMT, Chris Sprecht, noticed Torres’ identification bracelet and called the Medic Alert + Alzheimer’s Association Safe Return Program.
The program offers a 24-hour nationwide emergency response service for individuals with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia who wander or have a medical emergency.
He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital after appearing to have labored breathing and an irregular heart rate.
