Howard Likely evicted in early November 2011. He is bipolar and had an argument in a mental health clinic and may have gone off medication. He was going to college, maybe Liberty University or Phoenix University online programs, unemployed, living on Social Security disability payments. He was on my Verizon family plan and suddenly added a new cell phone and broadband, more than he could afford, and used it heavily for a few months, then in early November 2011 he stopped using both devices. His friends and relatives can't find him. Neighbors say he went to the Occupy Wall Street site. He had a pit bull dog.

He was in middle of forensics course at a university (Liberty or Phoenix?)when he disappeared, with plans to work on ongoing movie script in January 2012. He transferred to this latest unknown college/university after leaving a Walden University Master's Program in Forensive Psychology. He had a BA in Human Services from Empire State College before entering Walden University. One of his last contacts was with a friend in November, talking about the forensics class and his scriptwriting plans for January 2012.

Missing Man Mystery in Clinton Hill
By THE LOCAL

Update | 10:07 p.m. Fliers have gone up across a broad area in Clinton Hill offering a reward for information about the whereabouts of Howard Lee Comis, who has been missing since Oct. 8, 2011.

Mr. Comis, 61, lived in the Bronx at the time of his disappearance, but his brother, Donald Comis, believes that his brother was on the Clinton Hill stretch of Fulton Street when the family lost track of him, thanks to phone records and sightings.

“We thought maybe he called the Atlantic men’s shelter to make a drug contact,” Mr. Comis said. “He was a heroin addict years ago.”

At least one witness has said that Howard Lee Comis, who is 4-foot-11 and had a tattoo of a swastika that was a remnant of a rebellious, though not anti-Semitic youth, his brother said, was seen at or near the Atlantic Medical Center, located on Fulton Street between Claver Place and Franklin Avenue. Another witness put Mr. Comis at the methadone clinic on Fulton Street between Waverly and Washington Avenues.

“I told the police that there were three possibilities,” Mr. Comis said. “He was recruited by a terrorism organization, because he was a Muslim convert in jail; or, he’s institutionalized in a mental hospital or jail; or he’s dead.”

“The sightings give us a little hope,” Mr. Comis added.

Anyone with information is asked to call Donald Comis at (301) 752-9535 or e-mail
doncomis@yahoo.com.
